🟡 Pneumococcal: Senior groups are encouraged to set up clinics for this vaccine or receive the vaccine individually. Pneumococcal vaccines are also recommended for children younger than 2 years of age, anyone with a chronic illness, and chronic smokers. Learn More on the CDC Website.
🟡 Shingles: The shingles vaccine is often a benefit with insurance plans following an age requirement. The CDC recommends healthy adults 50 and older get this vaccine to prevent shingles and the most common complication from shingles, postherpetic neuralgia (PHN). Source CDC
🟡 Tetanus: Tetanus is a potentially fatal bacterial infection that attacks nerves. Those who suffer from the condition experience lockjaw and painful muscle contractions. Tetanus can also interfere with the ability to breathe. Tetanus is vaccinated against with Td or DT Vaccines (Tetanus and Diphtheria) and Tdap or DTaP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis). Source CDC

🟡 Meningococcal: Meningococcal diseases are severe bacterial illnesses that include infections of the lining of the brain and spinal cord (Meningitis), and bloodstream. Being vaccinated is the best preventative measure as Meningococcal Disease can be deadly.
