What Do You Appreciate About Your Pharmacy Technicians?
To celebrate Pharmacy Technician Day we asked a few of our Pharmacists and Pharmacy Managers to tell us what they appreciate about the Pharmacy Technicians they work with.
Pat | Pharmacist
Pat, one of our Indispensable Health retail pharmacists, described how she loves how one of her technicians, in particular, takes her job really seriously and is conscientious of doing the best job possible. That in turn makes everyone else working with her do the same, including herself. Pat goes on to explain that every pharmacy technician she works with at Indispensable Health's retail pharmacy is really competent, have excellent customer service skills, and at the end of the day that's so important in a community pharmacy setting because taking care of patients as individuals is a top priority.

Rogers, an Indispensable Health Pharmacy Director, told us about the hard work, dedication, flexibility, and team spirit each of the pharmacy technicians he works with brings to the team. "They look out for one another" and he never needs to worry about micromanaging them because they know what they need to do and they do it to the highest standard of competency. Rogers finished by saying, "I'm a lucky guy and I have no complaints".

He added that pharmacy clerks do a great job of ensuring the pharmacy continues to run and does so smoothly.

Craig, an Indispensable Health Director of Pharmacy, explains that something he appreciates about his pharmacy technicians is the support that they provide in getting everything done on a daily basis. "Pharmacy technicians are always busy pulling meds, delivering meds, entering orders, doing billing, and a whole host of other things. The technicians really keep the pharmacy running and keep me on track. Pharmacists provide a valuable service to patient care as the medication experts and having high-quality pharmacy technicians that keep the pharmacy running is integral to making sure our patients have the medications they need to get better.".
